ALL TOGETHER TO FIGHT AIDS!

THE IMMUNE SYSTEM:
It is a system of defense and protection of the body against all infections (viruses, bacteria).it consists of white blood cells

HIV AND ITS ACTION :
Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) paralyzes the immune system by destroying Cd4 white blood cells.

 AIDS :
Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) is a fatal disease caused by "HIV".When it multiplies in the body,HIV mutates (changes its appearance) and thus escapes the vigilance of immunity, enters the human bloodstream and once transmitted to the body,HIV takes time to manifest itself.
The appearance of clinical manifestations (AIDS disease) comes several months to several years after the virus has entered the body, that is, after infection.
During this period of silent latency (incubation period), the infected person can transmit the virus without showing the symptoms of AIDS disease. The virus is present in the blood, sperm of men and vaginal secretions of women.
The only proof is the TEST OF DEPISTANCE that is to say the detection of antibodies that the subject makes against the virus (HIV) and which are present in the blood, in a variable time of 6 to 8 weeks.
The incubation period is dangerous because it is latent and without symptoms.
The infected person is not sick but can transmit the virus to other people and is called "seropositive".

SEROPOSITIVITY DOES NOT MEAN "AIDS".
and seropositivity does not mean being sick
BUT A PERSON WHO IS HIV POSITIVE CAN TRANSMIT THE VIRUS
THE VIRUS THROUGH SEX AND BLOOD
AIDS IS THE LATE COMPLICATION OF CHRONIC HIV INFECTION.
